Duo on Trial at Sunderland

Ian Harte and Samuel Kuffour are both training with the Sunderland.

Ian Harte was released from Levante in the summer. The former Leeds left back has been training with Sunderland since Tuesday.

Samuel Kuffour is an experienced central defender and is currently a Roma player. The Ghana international who won the Champions league with Bayern Munich in 2001 was on loan to Livorno last season.

Keane told Sunderland`s official site "We are having a look at them and it`s good for them to look at what we are doing here, but there`s no chance of them signing before the weekend."

I think this is a step in the right direction considering how we defended against Wigan last Saturday. It clear to see we need more quality in our defence and the potential signing these two is just what we need.

Now how's about a Striker and a right winger ?
