Sunderland Sign Striker for 6million

Sunderland have signed Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones for 6 million pounds. Kenwyne`s move to Sunderland sees Stern John going in the other direction. The Trinidad and Tobago player has signed a 4 year contract with the Blackcats.

Roy Keane told the clubs official site "He`s a big, strong boy who is quick and athletic too. He has a real physical presence and is the type of player that we`ve been missing."

I am pleased to see us finally get another striker in my opinion we are a bit lightweight up front. I know we recently signed Cole but I think he is going to be more of a bit part player. However I would have rather Keane spend the money on proven Premiership striker.

Looks like the black cats are making a go of it this season, must say as a neutral I'm fascinated to see how Roy Keane does.
