Sunderland Res Beat Everton Res

Sunderland`s second string beat Everton reserves 2 goal to 1 at Halton Stadium.

Sunderland came from behind in a game that both Andrew Cole and Ian Harte made their first appearance for the club.

Everton scored first with a Lukas Jutkiewicz strike. Sunderland then replied with two goals from David Connolly.

Match Comment

Richarson featured so he must have overcome his back injury.

Connolly scored two so hopefully last seasons top scorer will be given a chance against Reading.

I am still of the opinion that Kavanagh is worth a first team place from what I seen of him last season he is more effective than Yorke.
