Nyron looks at the Positives

Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy has praised his fellow players for the way they fought back against a rampant Arsenal.

He told safc.com

"We take credit from the Arsenal performance. People wrote us off before the game but we don`t believe we are pushovers, we believe we can do well"

"There is a different feeling here from the last time we were in the Premier League. The lads want to stand up and be counted and we showed that at Arsenal"

"A game at the Emirates is a great experience for some of the lads in our squad, it is new to a lot of us"

"When you go 2-0 down so early in the game, of course it crosses your mind that it cold be a tough afternoon. But the fact that we got back in the game is good"

Nyron who is expected to make his international debut for Jamaica this weekend also had this to say about his call up.

"It`s an honour for me and I`m looking forward to it. It will be good to experience international football and hopefully I can make a name for the family"

Editor Comment

Nyron has come along way since he first pulled on the red and white shirt.

He has changed over the last few season from a gaff prone full back to an outstanding Centre back who is now a firm favourite with the fans.

He deserves all the recognition that comes his way and I hope he does well will the reggae boys.
