Halford joins Charlton

Halford joins Charlton

Sunderland`s Greg Halford has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.

Halford who signed for Roy Keane`s Sunderland in the summer from Reading for £3.5 million has struggled to hold down a regular first team place after some inconsistence performances.

Vital Sunderland Says

Halford has struggled this season with his form. My opinion is that he is good going forward but struggles with his distribution and defending. Maybe the Championship is the best place for him.
