Aston Villa vs. Sunderland

Villa Park

22nd March 2008

Aston Villa V Sunderland

Sunderland travel to Villa Park for their away game with Aston Villa.

Sunderland who are still looking for their first away win will be hoping 3,000 travelling fans can roar them to victory.

Aston Villa Team News:

Villa are without Curtis Davies, Scott Carson (injured) and Olof Mellberg who is suspended.

Craig Gardener could return after overcoming a back injury.

Player to watch: Ashley Young

The young winger has recently being called in to the England squad. I`m not surprised he was Villa`s main threat earlier in the season at the Stadium of light Bardsley will have a busy afternoon.

Sunderland Team News:

Sunderland midfielders Russ Wallace and Dickson Etuhu are both out with knee injuries.

Anthony Stokes is back in contention after recovering from a virus.

Roy Keane is expected to recall Richardson, Murphy and Chopra after they were left out for the Chelsea defeat.

Player to watch: Kenwyne Jones

Jones is certainly due a goal and think might just get one at Villa park.

confidence is high then. Wish you luck once enjoyed the Roker roar a few years ago. Last FA cup game ever played there a Bergkamp wonder goal.
