Forest V Sunderland

Sunderland travel Nottingham their first cup tie of the season where Roy Keane will return to Forest for his first competitive game as manager.

Sunderland of course played Forest in preseason but this is a competitive fixture and will be totally different.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Forest are without Lewis McGugan, Joe Garner and Paul Anderson.

Player to watch: Robert Earnshaw

Is one of a handful of quality Forest players Nuggsy and Collins will have to keep him quiet if we are to have any chance of keeping a clean sheet.

Sunderland Team News:

Michael Chopra starts his three match ban and is unavailable for selection.

Sunderland will also be without Teemu Tainio, Kenwyne Jones and Paul McShane who are all injured.

Player to watch: Djibril Cisse

Cisse will be looking to add to the goal at Spurs last weekend.

Match Facts & Stats

In our last six competitive games with Nottingham Forest we have Won 4, Draw 1 and Lost 1

Last time out was a preseason friendly, which we won 1-0 thanks to a cracking goal from Kieran Richardson.

Match Prediction:

We should be looking to advance to the next stage of the competition but Forest could be more than a match for us on their day. I predict a two nil win for Keane on his return to forest.
