Wigan vs. Sunderland

JJB Stadium

13th September 2008

15:00

Wigan v Sunderland

Sunderland travel to the JJB and hopefully we can put right a poor performance down there last year.

Keane will look be looking for a reaction form the lads after a poor display against Man City at the stadium of Light a fortnight ago.

Wigan Team News:

The former West Ham duo of Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney are both expected to make their debuts against the Latics.

We are without Kenweyne Jones, Teemu Tainio and Dean Whitehead.

Player to watch: Kieran Richardson

Kieran has been in fine form this season and I think he will finally show how good he is this season.

Sunderland Team News:

Wigan could be without Jason Komas and Kevin Kilbane both have minor injuries.

Player to watch: Emile Heskey

I don`t know what it is but he always seems to score against us.

Match Facts & Stats

Last time at the JJB The Latics we lost 3-0

Wigan`s first goal came from Heskey a tap in after Valencia`s cross came off McShane.

Their second came when Landzaat slotted home a penalty after Collins held Sibierski in the box.

Their third was another penalty converted by Sibierski when sub Russell Anderson was late for a tackle on Heskey.

Ref Watch:

Rob Styles

Match Prediction:

I think if we play as well as I know we can we should get a result on Saturday. 0-2 Away win
