Sunderland face an Arsenal side that failed to beat Hull at home in their last Premier league outing. The Gunners will be looking to make up for their complacency by winning at the Stadium of light. Roy Keanes men will be looking to use their home advantage to go use.
Sunderland are without Kenweyne Jones, Nyron Nosworty, Darren Ward, Martyn Waghorn, Grant Leadbitter, Liam Miller and Phil Bardsley.
Teemu Tainio is also looking to return after overcoming his shoulder injury.
Reid is likely to be recalled to the first team and his sheer passing ability could be big difference for us.
Arsenal are without Tomas Rosicky, Amaury Bischoff, Da Silva, Diaby and Eduardo.
After spend much of last season on the sidelines Van Persie is starting to show his true potenshail. He`s a top top player in my eyes.
In our last 7 league meetings with Arsenal on Wearside we have Won 2, Lost 3 and Drew 2.
Last time in the league at the Stadium of Light we lost 0-1
It was a Theo Walcott goal that separated the two sides with the lighting fast striker nipping in on Gilberto through ball to place his shot past Fulop.
Lee Mason
I would like to see us beat Arsenal but I don`t think we have the fire power to overcome a side of their quality I will therefore predict a 1-1 Draw
