Man United vs. Sunderland

Old Trafford

1st September 2007

17:15 On Setana

Man United v Sunderland

Roy Keane makes his eagerly anticipated return to Old Trafford. It`s the master versus his young apprentice.

Keane will be hoping to get one over his old boss but Sir Alex is no fool so expect this to be an intriguing encounter. Keane is expected to get a warm welcome from the fans who idolised him as a player.

Keane has signed no more than three new players since our humiliating defeat to Luton with all three of them likely to feature.

Man United Team News:

Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville are out injured.

Cristiano Ronaldo is Banned (Thank you there is a God)

Louis Saha is expected to be involved for the first time this season after overcoming an injury.

Player to watch: Ryan Giggs

The veteran winger is always a constant threat and is likely to be a thorn in our side.

Sunderland Team News:

Dean Whitehead, Stan Varga and Carlos Edwards are out with injuries.

Paul McShane, Kenwyne Jones and Kieran Richardson are all hopeful.

Greg Halford is Banned so expect Nosworthy to be playing at right back.

Expect debut appearances from Higginbotham, Jones, Cole, and Harte.

Player to watch: Kenwyne Jones

The striker is making his debut and will be out to make an impression

Match Facts & Stats

Last time at the Old Trafford We managed to hold the Red Devils to a goalless draw.

In our last six league games at Old Trafford We have Won 0, Draw 1 and Lost 5

Ref Watch:

Martin Atkinson

Match Prediction:

I think we will be under the cosh for must of the game but if we defend well and create a few chances who knows. We might just sneak a win or a draw I would personally settle for a point against a team of Man U calibre. 1-1 Away Draw hopefully
