Sunderland vs. Derby

Stadium Of Light

1st December 2007

15:00

Sunderland V Derby

Derby are Sunderland`s visitors at Stadium of Light this weekend. Sunderland are expecting a near full house for this important game which is already being billed as a must win game for Roy Keane`s side. Derby on the other hand are bedding in a new manager Paul Jewell after the dismissal of Billy Davies last week.

Sunderland Team News:

We are without Nyron Nosworty, Kieran Richardson, Stanislav Varga and Russell Anderson

Player to watch: Craig Gordon

Our goalkeeper is due a good game and they don`t come much bigger than this one. Expect him to keep a clean sheet.

Derby Team News:

Paul Jewell has a full squad to pick from with Andy Todd his only doubt.

Player to watch: Kenny Miller

Without a doubt Derby`s best player hopefully Higginbotham will have him in his back pocket.

Match Facts & Stats

In our 6 meetings with Derby on Wearside we have Won 3, Lost 0 and Drew 3.

Last time at the Stadium of Light we won 2-1

Ref Watch:

Mark Halsay

Match Prediction:

I think we will be up for this game and maybe a little bit too strong for Derby. 1 - 0 Home win
