Sunderland V Wigan

Sunderland entertain Wigan for their FA Cup third round clash. Sunderland will be looking to build on last Saturdays win against Bolton in the league.

Sunderland Team News:

We are without Nyron Nosworty and Carlos Edwards.

Jonny Evans is expected to replace Danny Higginbotham who has been carrying a foot injury.

Dickson Etuhu has gone to play in the African cup of nations and is unavailable.

Dwight Yorke is suspended after his sending off midweek against Blackburn.

Kenwyne Jones and Michael Chopra are carrying minor injuries and are doubtful.

Player to watch: Kieran Richardson

He has been our star man since coming back from injury hopefully he will be at his best again this weekend.

Wigan Team News:

Carlo Nash is out with a broken leg and Titus Bramble is suspended.

Player to watch: Emile Heskey

I don`t know what it is but he always seems to score against us.

No doubt a lot of players will be rested with survival in the Prem being far more important than a pointless cup run. Thus the losers of this maybe better off.
