Wigan are Sunderland`s visitors for the second time this season. Wigan beat Sunderland to advance to the forth round of the FA Cup earlier in the season.
Steve Bruce`s men will be hoping for more of the same but Sunderland will be looking for some revenge against the Latics.
Roy Keane faces a selection headacre with only one fit midfielder to pick from.
He is without Dwight Yorke, Liam Miller, Kieran Richardson, Carlos Edwards, Danny Higginbotham and Grant Leadbitter.
Dickson Etuhu is doubtful after picking up a knock in the African cup of nations.
New signing Andy Reid is expected to make his debut for the Blackcats.
He is certainly our star man if he can make nuisance of himself and get on the end of something we will be in with a chance.
Mario Melchiot and Erik Hagen are both out for Wigan.
Emile Heskey and Marlon King are doubts for Wigan and may face late fitness tests.
Can be absolute quality on his day lets hope he has a bad one on Saturday.
In our last 4 league meetings with Wigan on Wearside we have Won 1, Lost 1 and Drew 2.
Last time in the league at the Stadium of Light we lost 0 - 1
Mike Dean
Hopefully we will win this one but with Wigan already beating us twice this season and by some margin I think we will draw this one. 2 - 2 Draw
