Our first defeat of the season it had to come sooner or later but we simply didn`t get out of first gear.

Wigan`s first goal came from Heskey a tap in after Valencia`s cross came off McShane.

Yorke and Stokes were both replaced at half time after a first half to forget.

Their second came when Landzaat slotted home a penalty after Collins held Sibierski in the box.

Their third was another penalty converted by Sibierski when sub Russell Anderson was late for a tackle on Heskey.

An awful display was rewarded with exactly what we dissevered nothing. Wigan were by far the better side. We just played awful and the score should have been more had it not been for some great saves from Gordon.

Yes but the smoggie most have gave in to his contact clauses better off without him. Its passed now hopfully keane will sort them out and soon.
