Everton 7 Sunderland 1

Sunderland were demolished by an Everton team who played with the swagger and finesse of a top Premier team. Sunderland never really got going and on this evidence look certainties to be in relegation dog fight come May.

Everton were well only he way early in the first half scoring early goals through Yakubu and Cahill

Pienaar got their third just before Yorke netted for Sunderland.

Sunderland however faired no better in the second half as Everton finished the rout with goals from Cahill, Yakubu, Johnson and Osman.

Match Comment

We were terrible and deserved to be beaten and if we don`t win against Derby at the weekend we are going to be right in the brown stuff.
