Biglia Linked with Sunderland Move

Sunderland have been linked with Anderlecht`s Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia. The Black Cats will face competition from Tottenham, West Ham, Blackburn, Bolton, Wolves and Birmingham, who all sent scouts to witness Biglia`s man of the match performance on Saturday when Anderlecht tackled Roeselare.

Biglia has an Italian passport, so a work permit would not be required. His British-based agent Barry McIntosh confirmed the mounting interest in the 23-year-old:

'The interest in Biglia is growing all the time, and yes I can confirm a number of Premier League clubs are checking on him,' he told skysports.com.

'Lucas is a great talent and we have few qualms that he would be an excellent addition for any club.

'He is keen on a move to England, but we will have to see what transpires in the next few weeks.'

Sunderland have also been linked to Scottish starlet James McCarthy in the Scottish Sun. The Hamilton teenager has also been linked with Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle after Portsmouth had failed with a bid for the midfielder.

Here at Vital Sunderland, we will be keep a track of all the players linked with moves to and from Sunderland throughout the summer.
