Bentley Linked To Sunderland

It is yet to be seen if Steve Bruce will use any of his players in a swap deal with the English winger but Redknapp has his eye on a few SAFC players.

Redknapp has been linked with Anton Ferdinand, Richardson and Kenwyne Jones over the past 4 months and this rumour could turn serious in the next week.

Bruce is desperate for a creative midfielder with a point to prove and Bentley could be the perfect addition to his team. Bentley had a brilliant season with Blackburn but has failed to deliver at White Hart Lane in the past few seasons.

Bentley, 25, is looking to build his campaign for South Africa, and a move to the North East could be just the tonic to tempt Capello into including him in to the squad.

he did well for us, scored plenty of goals, got plenty of assists, could cross, but alas he thought he was too big for the club and moaned a lot. he is very very big headed.

i agree that he seems very big headed i think he is a good player who has not reached his potential, he could be a very good buy but also a very hot headed buy? Sunderland want players who commit 100% and work hard for the club in my opinion he does not fit that ethos, but if he comes i hope he proves me wrong!
