Upson To Sunderland?

Steve Bruce used to manage Upson at Birmingham and will look to bring him back to his new club Sunderland to partner alongside Michael Turner.

The fee that has been suggested by papers is £7m but there could be a player exchange in the shape of ex-Hammer Anton Ferdinand.

Matthew Upson, 31, is currently in South Africa with his national team and could be sold by West Ham if the right amount is offered.
