SAFC McCartney's home hoodoo continues

SAFC McCartney's home hoodoo continues
Only two of our loanees were in action in the Football League at the weekend, defenders George McCartney and Nyron Nosworthy.

McCartney's West Ham United
continued their poor home form with a 2-1 reverse at home to Eddie Howe's Burnley.

The Iron took the lead in the 52nd minute through Kevin Nolan before strikes from Chris McCann and Sam Vokes stole the points for the visitors.

West Ham missed out on the chance to close the gap on league-leaders Southampton who also lost, 1-0 at Doncaster.

At the other end of the division Nosworthy and Watford were victorious again, coming from behind to win 2-1 at Ipswich Town.

The Tractor Boys lead through a Keith Andrews' header before goals from Marvin Sordell and sub Troy Deeney secured the Hornets a fourth win in Nosworthy's seven-game spell.

Neither Liam Noble (Carlisle United) or Blair Adams (Brentford) were in action thanks to the busy F.A Cup second round schedule which neither of their sides made.
