SAFC Loan Round-up

Only three Sunderland players were in loan action this weekend and only George McCartney tasted victory.

Northern Irish international McCartney helped West Ham to a 1-0 win at Portsmouth.

The Hammers are second in the Championship, behind Southampton on goal difference only.

Fellow Ulsterman Trevor Carson wasn't in action for Hull City as the Tigers overcame Peterborough 1-0.

In League Two, Blair Adams got 90 minute in for Aidy Boothroyd's Northampton in a 5-2 defeat to Southend.

Also in the fourth tier, Billy Knott made his debut for Wimbledon, playing 72 minutes of the Dons 2-1 win at Port Vale.
