Loan watch: Lynch makes pro' debut for Pools

YOUNG WINGER Craig Lynch made the first start of his professional career this weekend as Hartlepool United claimed a last-gasp point against Shrewsbury Town.

The 20 year-old attacker was named in Pools` starting XI as Neale Cooper rang the changes following a 5-0 mauling at Preston North End in midweek.

Lynch, who had previously made three substitute appearances on loan with the Monkeyhangers was selected at left-midfield by Cooper.

Former Middlesbrough winger Jonathan Franks give Pools the lead before a Marvin Morgan brace put Graham Turner`s Shrews ahead.

With seconds left on the clock though, substitute Andy Monkhouse, who had only been on for 10 minutes, secured a point for the hosts with a 90th minute leveller.

In the Championship, Ahmed Elmohamady of Hull City was on the score-sheet in a 3-2 midweek victory over Leeds United.

The Egyptian`s goal drew the Tigers level on the night at 1-1 during a real ding-dong of a Yorkshire derby.

Elmo also played the full 90 on Sunday a Steve Bruce`s side went down 3-1 at Leicester City to a David Nugent hat-trick.

Finally, young goalkeeper Ben Wilson has yet to make an appearance for Chesterfield since signing on loan for the Spireites earlier this month.
