Loan watch: Elmo prompts Hull comeback

AHMED ELMOHAMADY`S Hull City climbed back into the Play-Off`s at the weekend as they overcame struggling Ipswich Town 2-1.

Town, who are currently second-bottom of the Championship with just seven points from 11 games went ahead in the 29th minute through Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

However the Tractor Boys were unable to hold onto their precious lead, and a doubled from striker Nick Proschwitz in the last 16 minutes secured the win for Steve Bruce`s side.

Egyptian international Elmohamady played the full 90 for the Humberside outfit, assisting the City equalizer.

In League One, hapless Hartlepool United were beaten once more.

Ryan Noble was selected up front once more by Neale Cooper, but was unable to prevent 'Pools going down 1-0 to Crawley Town at the Vic`.

A goal from former Everton midfielder Hope Akpan won it for the Sussex side, leaving the Teessider`s six points from safety in 23rd.

Noble was replaced by former Sunderland youngster Nathan Luscombe in the 61st minute.

Finally, Ben Wilson was once more an unused substitute as Chesterfield beat Exeter City 1-0 at St. James` Park.
