Loan watch: Pools bag away point

RYAN NOBLE and Hartlepool United collected an invaluable point on Saturday, halting a run of three straight defeats.

Ryan Noble played the full 90 minutes in the week that boss Neale Cooper resigned from his post as manager.

With the pressure lifted somewhat, 'Pools turned in a resilient display, levelling twice at Brentford's Grffin Park to take a share of the spoils.

A brace from Paul Hayes looked to have won it for Uwe Rosler's men, but a pair of own-goals, the second coming in the 90th minute earned the Teesside outfit a point in north west London.

In the Championship, Ahmed Elmohamady and Hull City ran out winners at Ashton Gate.

A second-half own-goal from Bristol City midfielder Cole Skuse handed the Tigers another win after Steven Davies had levelled Sone Aluko's opener.

Elmo played 90 minutes and was booked.

Finally in League Two, Ben Wilson was an unused substitute as Paul Cook took charge of his first match as Chesterfield boss.

Strugglers Barnet beat the Spireites with a 90th minute penalty from midfielder Mark Byrne.
