Loan watch: Noble's Pools humbled in Cup

RYAN NOBLE`S Hartlepool United were dumped out of the FA Cup at the First Round stage in embarrassing fashion, beaten 6-1 by League Two Chesterfield.

Under the guidance of caretaker boss Micky Barron, 'Pools were unable to build on a 2-2 draw at Brentford last time out and caved in at the Proact Stadium.

Goals from Scott Boden, Mark Randall, Craig Clay, Terrell Forbes, Jack Lester & Craig Westcarr did the damage; Anthony Sweeney`s 78th minute strike barely a consolation.

Noble played the full 90 minutes.

Ben Wilson was not on the bench for the Spireites under the terms of his loan deal.

In Championship action, Ahmed Elmohamady got another 90 minutes under his belt as Hull City beat Barnsley 1-0 at the KC Stadium.

Sone Aluko`s 16th minute effort won the game, moving Hull into fifth place in the Championship standings.
