Loan watch: Ji debuts for Augsburg

With David Meyler departing and Ahmed Elmohamady being re-called, there are currently only two Sunderland players out on-loan.

Striker Ji Dong-Won is with Bundesliga outfit Augsburg, whilst winger Billy Knott remains at Woking.

Ji made his debut for Ausburg at the weekend as they secured an important 3-2 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The win was just Augsburg's second of the season and means they are still a point behind Hoffenheim who occupy the relegation Play-Off spot, and a whopping nine points behind Nuremburg and safety.

Augsburg raced into a three-goal lead, a brace from Sascha Molders sandwhiching Ja-Cheol Koo's strike.

A late brace from Dusseldorf's Stefan Reisinger was not enough for the hosts and Augsburg hung on for a precious win.

In the Blue Square Premier, Knott's Woking were also victorious thanks to Jayden Stockley's 89th minute strike against Ebbsfleet.
