Gus' View: Boss Frustrated With Poor Marking

Gus' View: Boss Frustrated With Poor Marking
Gus Poyet blamed his side's marking as Manchester City grabbed a late winning goal through Frank Lampard on New Years Day.

After fighting back from two goals down to level things, an unmarked Lampard headed home a 73rd minute winner which left Poyet feeling frustrated after witnessing a good comeback.

Poyet said to reporters: 'The disappointing thing of the performance is after 2-2, the last 15 minutes, we gave the ball away too easily.

'It's Frank Lampard, we know what he does. He's going to arrive late in the box so we need to mark.

'We opened up the game completely and we needed our goalkeeper to be very good at the end to save us from conceding five or six.'

It was a good effort but a shame to see it thrown away, we were worth a point.

At the end of the day its just another game that we have not won. Wont be long before we are in the relegation zone
