Advocaat Pleased With Effort Shown
The game as a contest was all over by half-time with City hitting four goals that left the Black Cats reeling.

Sergio Aguero started the rot when he fired home a penalty awarded when Patrick van Aanholt fouled Jesus Navas.
Kevin de Bruyne grabbed the second, before Vito Mannone was unlucky when a shot from Raheem Sterling came back off the post and the ball struck the keeper and went over the line.
De Bruyne then added an assist to his name when he put in a great cross for Sterling to score the fourth.
Ola Toivonen netted a late consolation for the home side when Yedlin set him up with a cross.
Advocaat told Sky Sports after the game: 'I said at half-time to the players, 'Now you have to show commitment for the team, but also as an individual because if you go on the same as we did in the last 15 minutes, then they will score four goals more'.
'But I was very pleased with what I saw in the second half. They worked very hard. You could see from the fans - they stayed until the end. But the quality from the other side was too much.'
